2024 was an extraordinary year as
BELIEVE celebrated our 20th Anniversary!
What began in 2004 as The CREER Service Organization, in the small farming village of La Florida, Costa Rica, has grown into a global humanitarian service organization. Over the past two decades, Believe has built bridges of hope, extending our impact across the world.
Watch a short video on our Global Initiatives in 2024:
This year, Believe launched a new partnership with the Ruphay Wasi School in the Sacred Valley of Peru, bringing a group from Hanger Hall School (Asheville) to collaborate and support their growing school. Ruphay Wasi provides academic and emotional support to children by blending Andean culture with education. Donations are essential to cover operating costs and scholarships, ensuring all children can thrive in this nurturing environment, regardless of financial circumstances.
Following a decade of conservation efforts in Costa Rica, Believe expanded its support to Bocas del Toro, Panama. This September, volunteers worked to assist sea turtles during their critical hatching season, helping the vulnerable baby turtles safely reach the ocean. We look forward to deepening our Earth Stewardship initiatives in Panama with more exciting projects planned for 2025.
In partnership with Believe for over a decade, The Real Costa Rica offers immersive, community-based experiences in San Rafael, Costa Rica. Founded by Lindsay Padilla, this family-run initiative provides homestays, volunteer opportunities, and cooking lessons with fresh ingredients from local farms. The program reinvests its proceeds into the community, funding essential projects that benefit families, schools, & children’s clubs.
Asheville, the U.S. home of Believe and True Nature, faced significant challenges this year due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. In response, Believe collaborated with Beloved Asheville to provide crucial support to the most affected communities in Western North Carolina. As the area continues to rebuild, we remain committed to aiding recovery efforts.
In partnership with True Nature Education, Believe supports immersive travel opportunities where participants connect deeply with the world through service and cultural exchange. Programs in Costa Rica, Peru, Italy, Iceland, Jamaica, and now Ireland allow participants to have an authentic travel experience while working alongside Believe to uplift communities.
