Summary of Projects
Our Costa Rica service projects took place at the beautiful Luna Nueva Organic Farm and the surrounding rural school community. Volunteers supported local educators by completing painting and facilities refresh work at the area’s high school and primary school—where enrollment is just 67 students in the high school and 19 in the primary.
Beyond the hands-on work, each group had the opportunity to learn about the unique challenges faced by rural schools in this region. One volunteer group made an additional impact by bringing a full luggage of school supplies and donating everything—luggage included—to the students and teachers.
These efforts strengthened our relationship with Luna Nueva and helped provide a cleaner, brighter learning environment for the local children.
School Facilities Refresh
Service work projects by participants on our Luna Nueva trips supported two small rural schools—one with 67 high school students and the other with just 19 young learners. Painting projects brightened the learning environment while volunteers learned firsthand about the realities of education in remote areas.
